This fall, Ivinson has added a new pediatrician, three family medicine providers, a new orthopedic surgeon and an internist to the IMG team.
“We are excited to welcome new healthcare providers to our community as well as some familiar faces to Ivinson,” said Chief Operating Officer Terry Moss. “Our primary and specialty care physicians joining us each have unique skills and expertise in their area to offer you and your family the best care we can. Our community is growing and at Ivinson, we are eager to grow with it.”

Dr. McCrave has over 15 years of practice caring for children with experience ranging from complex hospital settings to everyday wellness and acute needs. Dr. McCrave has specialized experience in pediatric hematology and oncology that has taken her studies to Baylor and Brown University. Earning her medical degree from rom the Universidad del Norte School of Medicine in Barranquilla, Colombia, South America, Dr. McCrave is bilingual, speaking fluent Spanish and English.
Dr. Starks has been caring for families in Wyoming since 2015. Joining the Ivinson team from Douglas, WY, Dr. Starks specializes in care for the whole family, from infancy to geriatrics and everything in between. Studying at the University of Colorado, Denver School of Medicine and then in Guatemala through the global health tract, Dr. Starks is a bilingual physician and speaks English and Spanish. Following her family medicine training, Dr. Starks completed additional education in obesity medicine to better help patients maintain healthy weights and reach better health outcomes.
Dr. Habel joins Ivinson from Family Physicians of Laramie. Graduating from the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Habel is a WWAMI Program Alumni. Completing her residency at the University of Colorado Swedish Family Medicine in Denver, Dr. Habel has been treating patients in Laramie since her senior residency. In addition to serving all families for their healthcare needs, Dr. Habel is an active serving member of the Wyoming Army National Guard.
Dr. Mikesell has been serving the Laramie community since 2008 caring for patients of all ages. Originally from Rawlins, WY, Dr. Mikesell attended the University of Wyoming and went on to earn his degree in osteopathic medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Mikesell is a WWAMI preceptor, working with medical students each year providing guidance in the clinic. Moving to Ivinson’s Pediatric and Family Care clinic, Dr. Mikesell is looking forward to focusing on patient care and continuing to provide meaningful attention to his patients and their families.
Dr. Johnson is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with special interest and experience in sports medicine. Before joining the Ivinson team, Dr. Johnson worked as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Chargers NFL team while completing her sub-specialty year in orthopedic sports medicine. In addition to her sports medicine expertise, Dr. Johnson completed her orthopedic residency at Loyola University Medical Center and has studied a broad range of surgical strategies and treatment options to improve mobility and quality of life. A Colorado native, Dr. Johnson attended Colorado State University where she played rugby. She visited Laramie in college is looking forward to making it her new home.
Dr. Govaerts has over 26 years of expertise in caring for patients. As a board certified internal medicine physician Dr. Govaerts specializes in treating diabetes, hypertension and general internal medicine needs. Dr. Govaerts attended the University of Nebraska where he received his medical degree and completed his residency in internal medicine. He later attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor where he completed his Fellowship in Nephrology, studying kidney care.
