Awards Around Ivinson
Creating an environment for staff to do their best work.
From the business office to the emergency department to the legislator- our Ivinson team members have been advocates for their patients and for fellow healthcare workers.
Ivinson’s accolades celebrates some of those wins from around our hospital to showcase the great work being done by our team each day.
Award for Advocacy
Cara Schnieder, a registered nurse in the emergency department, was awarded the Jane Warren Commitment to Advocacy Award by the Albany County SAFE Project. As a forensic nurse, Cara is specially trained to care for patients that have experienced domestic abuse and other forms of assault and to provide additional local resources.
“Cara is amongst the best of our community,” SAFE Project staff said. “We can rest easier knowing that there are nurses like Cara supporting survivors and providing them with the highest-quality of care.”
Leading the Way
Chief Nursing Officer Nicole Rooney was awarded the Healthcare Leadership Award by the Wyoming Hospital Association at the 2023 annual conference. The Healthcare Leadership Award was created this year to recognize exemplary leadership and service to Wyoming hospitals. Nicole was recognized for her work done alongside 3 other Wyoming hospital CNO’s to advance legislation to address violence perpetrated against healthcare workers.
DAISY
Anna Schimick is a registered nurse in the emergency department. In addition to passing her board certification for emergency nursing, Anna was recognized for the patient care she provides in the ED as our most recent DAISY Honoree. Ivinson proudly participates in the DAISY Award Program, recognizing nurses who demonstrate extraordinary compassion and skill in the care of their patients. Anna’s DAISY nominations recognized her for bringing sunshine to the emergency room and making patients feel as if they are the only patient in that busy department.
